The Importance of Seasonal Maintenance for Your Porsche

Each season brings new challenges for your car to face, so it’s important to stop by the dealer for seasonal Porsche maintenance that’ll help your car handle the weather changes.

You also need to visit your Porsche dealer for some forms of maintenance that aren’t related to the season, but they can be done at the same time as your season-related maintenance.

The Importance of Getting Seasonal Maintenance From Your Porsche Dealer

Spring Maintenance

In spring, it’s important to help your car recover from winter. Give the body and underside a thorough cleaning. As it tends to drizzle in winter, that can make the ground moist and make road grime more likely to cling to your vehicle. Make sure you also check your tire pressure, as it can fluctuate as the temperature changes.

Check the quality of your engine oil and have it changed if necessary. Replace worn-out filters: especially the air filter. Your dealer will probably want to check on your braking system, too, to make sure it’s still in top shape after winter.

Summer Maintenance

As Arizona summers are scorching, getting your cooling system checked out is one of the first things you’ll need to do. Checking on your oil, tires, and fluids is also a must. Your dealer will probably want to check on your brakes again, too, while you’re visiting.

You might need to have more air put into your tires to once again deal with the changes in temperature. Have your air conditioning system checked out and get any necessary repairs on it to prepare for the hot weather. As summer storms can be harsh, we also suggest getting your wipers checked and changed out if needed.

Fall Maintenance

A well-maintained vehicle may not require a ton of maintenance in the fall. You will need to get an oil change, tire rotation, and any other preventative maintenance if you haven’t gotten them yet during the year. Checking your fluid levels, checking your tire pressure and tread wear, and changing out your air filter will be the bulk of your car maintenance in the fall.

Winter Maintenance

Though it typically doesn’t get super cold in much of Arizona in winter, it would be a good idea to check on your car’s heating system, just in case, and especially if you’ll be taking trips to the mountains or to other states.

Checks on your tires and the fluids in your vehicle are a must, too. As the roads may be wet in winter, get your brakes checked, and get new brake pads if needed.
