The Taycan comes equipped with a powerful electric motor setup, 800-V technology, and an advanced suspension system.

Introducing the 2025 Porsche Taycan: Electric Powerhouse

Satisfying Electric Power

The Taycan is quick off the line, reaching 60 mph in just 4.5 seconds in its base configuration. Its single electric motor drives the rear wheels, producing 402 hp and a flat 302 lb-ft of torque, and comes paired with an automatically shifting 2-speed transmission.

Drivers looking for white-knuckle acceleration can choose the Turbo S or Turbo GT trim levels, which achieve 0 to 60 mph times of 2.3 seconds and 2.2 seconds, respectively. However, the Taycan’s best performance figures are available at the Turbo GT trim level when combined with the Weissach Package. Its dual-electric motor setup produces a mind-boggling 1,019 hp and 914 lb-ft of torque, enabling the track-ready EV to achieve a 0 to 60 mph time of 2.1 seconds.

Impressive Handling

With its design being optimized for aggressive cornering, the Taycan was able to set a new Nürburgring record lap time of 7:07.55 minutes. The sports sedan’s low center of gravity reduces body roll when turning sharply, and the adaptive air suspension with PASM adjusts the ride height and damping to maintain excellent contact between the tires and the road. Additionally, the vehicle’s optional rear-axle steering improves handling by turning the rear wheels in the same direction as the front wheels.

Outstanding Driving Range

The standard 28-module battery provides the with an EPA-estimated Taycan 274 miles of driving range, while the 33-module Performance Battery Plus improves this to 318 miles. To charge the EV, you can use a home outlet or any public Level 1, Level 2, or DC charger, thanks to the universal compatibility of its driver-side J1772 AC charging socket and passenger-side CCS Combo socket. The Taycan’s 800-V technology enables it to recharge from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes under ideal DC charging conditions.

Advanced Driver Assistance Technology

Several ADAS features work alongside the driver to get occupants safely to their destination. This includes traffic sign recognition, which detects traffic signs using camera and navigation data and pairs with a cornering notification feature to inform drivers about a sharp turn. Front and Rear ParkAssist with a backup camera provides dynamic guidelines and the distance from obstacles. Other standard driver assistance features include lane keep assist, lane change assist, an active speed limiter, and brake assist.
