Introducing the 2024 Macan EV
Porsche’s Macan SUV has been on the road for some time, but a new all-electric version is rolling out this year.
Sporty and sophisticated, the 2024 Macan EV is a lot like its gas-powered sibling, but its electric sensibilities and fast charging capabilities are sure to make it a driver favorite. It’s time to get to know the new all-electric Macan.
Introducing the 2024 Macan EV
Plenty of Power
The new all-electric Macan is a Porsche through and through. The Macan 4 Electric has a top track speed of 136 miles per hour and offers 402 horsepower and 479 pound-feet of torque with overboost power with launch control. The Macan Turbo Electric offers even more power, with a top track speed of 161 miles per hour and, with overboost power, 630 horsepower and 833 pound-feet of torque.
Both electric Macans have a 95 kWh battery that offers DC fast charging of up to 270 kW. This means the battery can be charged from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 21 minutes.
Multifunction Sports Steering Wheel
A multifunction sports steering wheel, which measures 14.8 inches in diameter, can be used to select four different driving modes. The wheel’s smooth black leather offers a sporty feel.
Plenty of Space Onboard
Like any Porsche, the Macan offers thrilling, powerful performance, but this SUV is also practical enough for everyday use. You’ll find 19 cubic feet of cargo space in the rear, which opens up to 47.6 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded down. That’s enough space for luggage, sporting equipment, or bulkier items.
There’s also a front luggage compartment beneath the hood in the space that is typically occupied by a combustion engine. The Macan’s front luggage compartment offers nearly three cubic feet of space, making it the perfect spot to stow a laptop, a couple of bags of groceries, or other smaller items. If you need even more capacity, the all-electric Macan has a maximum towing capacity of 4,409 pounds.
Digital Cockpit
The electric Macan has a digital cockpit that focuses on the driver. A 12.6-inch curved instrument cluster shows a host of driving information, and a 10.9-inch central display is equipped with Apple CarPlay. The onboard infotainment system also features Porsche Communication Management. Through the “Hey Porsche” voice assistant, this system can suggest routes, manage cabin climate, and pull up your favorite music or podcasts on demand.
The front, center console contains a smartphone compartment with wireless charging of up to 15 watts. The front console also includes storage space and two drink holders. Additional drink holders are in the front and rear door panels.
