Take a look at the 2025 Porsche 718 Boxster

How Much Power Does It Have?

The 718 Boxster lineup covers several performance tiers. The 718 Boxster and 718 Boxster Style Edition both use a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 300 horsepower, reaching 0-60 mph in 4.5 to 4.9 seconds depending on whether you pick the Sport Chrono Package with the seven-speed PDK transmission or six-speed manual. Both can hit 171 mph with summer tires.

The 718 Boxster S features a 2.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 350 horsepower, reducing the 0-60 mph time to between 4.0 and 4.4 seconds and lifting the top speed to 177 mph. Above that is the 718 Boxster GTS 4.0, which runs a 394-horsepower 4.0-liter flat-six with a best 0-60 mph time of around 3.8 seconds. The most powerful of the lot, the 718 Spyder RS, outputs 493 horsepower and sprints to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds.

How Does It Handle?

The 718 Boxster is just as talented in straight lines as it is in corners. Its chassis, among the best tuned in the business, and standard passive dampers make it balanced and stable through bends, while the communicative steering reacts quickly and accurately to even the smallest inputs. With the adaptive PASM system or PASM Sport (which adds stiffer anti-roll bars and lower ride height), the 718 Boxster becomes even more planted and smooth.

One driver-focused feature worth mentioning is the Sport Chrono Package. It adds multiple driving modes (four with the manual gearbox, five with the PDK), rev-matching for the manual, launch control for the PDK, a chronograph for lap timing, and magnetorheological driveline mounts.

What Is It Like on the Inside?

It’s a Porsche, so naturally, the ergonomics are spot on. The seating position feels perfect, the visibility is excellent, the pedals are ideally placed, and the steering wheel fits just right. The roof opens in just nine seconds and, when up, is nearly as hushed as a Cayman. Standard features include heated two-way adjustable sport seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, Apple CarPlay, six speakers, and the signature dash-mounted pop-out cupholders.

As usual, Porsche offers plenty of ways to personalize your car. Options include front seat ventilation, a full leather interior, an upgraded audio system from Bose or Burmester, adaptive cruise control, a painted climate control panel, colored instrument dials, and even mahogany interior trim, among many others.
